Airline Info!

We have some low cost airline information to share with those of you who live across the country who may want to fly back to the region. Many of these carriers are not affilated with Expedia and Travelocity.. therefore making it more affordable to go directly to the carriers' website to make your reservations.

One of the most affordable options is to fly in to South Bend on Allegiant www.allegiantair.com from these locations: Mesa (Phoenix) Arizona, Sanford (Orlando), St Pete/Clearwater/Tampa, Punta Gorda (SW Florida/Fort Myers). Allegiant actually flies seasonally in and out of Gary, Indiana to Sanford/Orlando!!

Once upon a time Southwest Airlines was just that...based in Dallas, Texas...flying the Southwest. They fly into Chicago's Midway Airport and you will see that their route structure is quite extensive now....Check it out...at www.SouthwestAirlines.com

Flying all across the country, with Denver as their home base, is Frontier www.frontierairlines.com They fly to Chicago's Midway and O'Hare.

Another carrier....Spirit www.spirit.com flies to Chicago O'Hare. They do have some extra high costs for luggage....keep that in mind when you are shopping for airfare.

You can sign up for "Specials or Hot Deals" e-mails on the websites from nearly all of these carriers. I get the ones from Southwest and there are some really great special prices sent out bi-weekly.
